CBME North East London Student Tutor Training (NESTT)

Overview

This Tutor Training is an introduction to teaching Undergraduate medical students. It will provide attendees with basic skills for educating students in the community, covering:

• preparing the practice and patients

• facilitation of student-centred learning

• learning needs assessment

• giving effective feedback

• developing reflective practice

• developing as a virtual educator

The training involves bite-sized theory and plenty of dialogue and practical experience.

Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.

Who can attend?

This training is open to any GPs in the North East London area who are intending to teach or have just started teaching Barts and The London Undergraduate medical students during the 2021/22 academic year (either at their own practice, or as a sessional GP tutor at one of our host teaching practices).
